Privacy Policy

PicRecast is operated by an independent developer based in China. This policy applies to the public PicRecast website and the features currently offered through it.

For the currently available local tools, your browser reads the file you select, performs the chosen operation, and creates the preview and download on your device. PicRecast does not receive the image content. Temporary in-browser download references are released when results are replaced, reset, or the page is closed. Your browser and operating system may still retain files you choose to download.

PicRecast processes the limited information described in this policy to provide the website and local tools you request; deliver and secure the website, prevent abuse, and diagnose faults; understand aggregated website usage and referral sources; evaluate how the website is distributed and discovered; and comply with applicable legal obligations. The legal basis depends on the activity and the law that applies. Depending on the context, it may be necessary to provide a requested service or take steps to enter into or perform a contract, pursue legitimate interests in operating, protecting, and understanding use of the service, comply with a legal obligation, or obtain explicit consent when applicable law requires it. No single legal basis applies in every country, and consent is not treated as the default basis for all processing.

When you request a page, Vercel hosts and delivers the website and may process information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, performance information, and errors. PicRecast also uses Vercel Web Analytics for page-view and initial-referrer reporting. Analytics data can include the page URL or path, referring site, approximate geographic location that may include country-, region-, or city-level information, browser, operating system, and device type, and is presented to PicRecast as aggregated website statistics rather than an identified user profile. Before an automatic page view is sent, PicRecast removes URL query parameters and fragments from the Analytics event URL; the initial referrer remains available for referral measurement.

Vercel provides globally distributed website hosting and delivery. Request metadata such as IP address, device and browser details, requested URLs, timestamps, performance information, and errors may be processed outside the country where you are located. The safeguards and transfer arrangements that apply to Vercel's processing are described in Vercel's Privacy Notice.

The image content and image bytes used with PicRecast's current local tools are not sent to Vercel Web Analytics, a Vercel image-processing service, or another external image-processing service.

The public local image tools do not require an account or tracking cookie. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party tracking cookies; it uses a privacy-preserving request-derived visitor identifier and discards the visitor session after 24 hours. PicRecast does not use advertising cookies or add its own analytics cookies. Strictly necessary technical storage may still be used for website operation. This policy and any required consent controls will be updated before optional cookie-based tracking is introduced.

Vercel provides website hosting, security, and aggregated Web Analytics. Current image conversion, compression, resize, crop, and local background modes do not send image content to Vercel Analytics or another image-processing service. Accounts, subscriptions, checkout, payment processing, and other server-backed product features are not currently available. If those features are introduced, PicRecast will disclose the service provider, data involved, purpose, and applicable choices before activation.

PicRecast does not retain image files used with local tools because it does not receive them. Vercel Web Analytics discards its visitor session after 24 hours; aggregated page-view and referrer reports remain available according to the reporting window of PicRecast's current Vercel plan. Hosting and security records are retained by Vercel according to its service practices and for the time needed to operate, secure, diagnose, and comply with legal obligations. Messages sent to PicRecast will be kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain appropriate records.

PicRecast uses HTTPS and browser security controls and limits available tools to documented file types and safety boundaries. No website or local device can be guaranteed completely secure, so keep a copy of important originals and use a trusted, updated browser.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask whether personal data is held about you and to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent where applicable. PicRecast may need enough information to verify and respond to a request. Rights that cannot lawfully be limited remain unaffected.

PicRecast is a general image utility and is not directed to children. Do not send personal information about a child through a support request unless you are legally authorized to do so.

Material changes will be published on this page with a revised last-updated date. When appropriate, PicRecast will provide additional notice before a change takes effect.
