Fit within vs exact dimensions
Fit within keeps each image inside a bounding box. Exact dimensions lets you Fit, center Crop, or Pad to a requested canvas.
When to use Crop
Exact Crop fills the requested width and height by trimming edges from the center. Use the homepage Image Resizer when an individual image needs precise framing.
When to use Pad
Exact Pad preserves the whole image on a fixed-size canvas. Choose transparent PNG/WebP, white, black, or a custom background; JPG uses an opaque background.
Prevent accidental enlargement
Fit, width, height, and longest-edge rules leave smaller images at native pixel dimensions by default. Exact Crop may enlarge source pixels and is clearly labeled.

How many images can I resize at once?
Up to 20 images with 128 MiB of total source files. ZIP output is capped at 128 MiB.
Can I mix JPG, PNG and WebP?
Yes. Upload JPG/JPEG, static PNG, and static WebP together. Each keeps its original format unless you choose a common output format.
Will portrait and landscape images be distorted?
No. Fit within, width, height, longest edge, and percentage preserve each image’s aspect ratio.

Can I resize everything to the same exact dimensions?
Yes. Exact Crop and Pad produce the requested canvas size. Exact Fit may produce a smaller result to keep the whole image visible.
What is the difference between Fit, Crop and Pad?
Fit preserves the whole image within the box. Crop fills exact dimensions by trimming edges. Pad keeps the whole image on an exact background canvas.
Can I resize by percentage?
Yes. Each image is scaled relative to its own dimensions. Above 100% is an explicit upscale and does not add detail.
Can I set only width or height?
Yes. Use Width only or Height only; the other dimension is calculated automatically.
Will smaller images be enlarged?
Not in the default Fit within, width, height, or longest-edge modes. Percentage above 100% and Exact Crop can enlarge source pixels when explicitly selected.
Can I convert formats while resizing?
Yes. Advanced options let you output the whole batch as JPG, PNG, or WebP; keeping source formats is the default.
Does resizing reduce file size?
Often, but not always. The actual before and after byte sizes are shown for each result.
Is metadata preserved?
Re-encoding can remove EXIF, ICC, XMP, and camera metadata. JPEG orientation is normalized into pixels.
Can I download everything as one ZIP?
Yes. Completed results can be downloaded as one store-mode ZIP, up to 128 MiB.
Are images uploaded?
No. Image decoding, resizing, encoding, and ZIP generation run in your browser.
What happens if one image fails?
That item shows an error. Other queued images continue; you can retry or remove the failed item.
